I am exploring and deconstructing a sail using conventional techniques to create a unique range of garments within a sustainable system and ethos. I am collaborating with North Sails who is supplying me sailcloth for this project.

Repurposed Sailcloth

"Commonplace?" materializes a desire that seeks to highlight the letter 'a'. As one of the vowels, 'a' is often forgotten in the conscious mind, much like the carpets underneath your feet.

LAND411 Design pt.2

A rangatahi residence in the community. Designed to encourage each rangatahi who comes to stay to engage with their own Rangatiratanga/self determination. Spatial and atmospheric flexibility has been emphasised, while also maintaining a safe and secure home. The framing of a central courtyard acts as both a boundary and creates a sense of play between the interior and exterior. Each interior space has a unique relationship with this central communal space and the outside, enabling rangatahi to rehabilitate without a feeling of imprisonment, but rather a punanga/refuge in the community.
